Karmatang beach is in Mayabunder which lies in the Middle Andamans. It is to the North of Port Blair. It is around 242km from Port Blair by road and 157 km by sea.

The beach is less frequented by travelers. It is lined by coconut trees and has a shallow sandy slope stretching over a kilometer. It is a turtle nesting ground. The nesting of turtles can be seen here from December to February.

The Swiftlet Nest Resort is located near the beach. It has ten rooms. The beach is being developed as a tourist complex.
