Andaman is blessed with many see-through beaches and sparkling sand. Time seems to have come to a standstill when you reach the golden beaches of Andaman.

Chidiya Tapu is an island 33 km south of Port Blair. This place had a lot of birds (chidiya) at one time and hence the name. Even today you can see many species of birds twittering around here.
The beach here has white sand. You can see many uprooted trees on the beach. The huge roots of these form a nice place to sit and watch the sea. Behind the beach is a dense forest. You can see the sun go down behind a hillock from this beach. It is a nice example of sea and hills combination.
A forest guest house is located on the hillock within the island. It gives a good view of the whole area. Glass bottom boats are available for coral watching on the island. |

Ramnagar Beach is located in Diglipur Island which is 333km from Port Blair by road and 185 km by sea. Two daily boats connect it to Mayabunder. Boats from Port Blair are twice a week.
The beach is a beautiful sandy beach. Turtle nesting happens on the beach from December to February. Hotel Laxmi located on the beach has basic rooms for accommodation.

Karmatang beach is in Mayabunder which lies in the Middle Andamans. It is to the North of Port Blair. It is around 242km from Port Blair by road and 157 km by sea.
The beach is less frequented by travelers. It is lined by coconut trees and has a shallow sandy slope stretching over a kilometer. It is a turtle nesting ground. The nesting of turtles can be seen here from December to February.

This beach is located on the Hut Bay Island in Andaman. It is 100 km away from Port Blair. This picturesque beach has no hotels nearby. It is a peaceful isolated beach. Sea lovers fall in love with the privacy of this place. It’s a perfect place to relax in peace. Fishing is one activity you can do here. If you are lucky you may catch a Salmon.
